Identity explained to a fly / Identitatea euliari azaldua

THIS LAND
we call country

this housing site whose existence
requires a whole language
even if it fits in a single word

I don’t know why we call it land
when it is made of air

of air and
breath
voices
words
that do not hide themselves

this land
we call country

is

breathing me out
breathing me in

LUR HAU
zeinari esaten diogun herria

hitz bakarrean kabitzen den arren
izateko hizkuntza oso bat
behar duen orubea

ez dakit zergatik esaten diogun lur
airez osatua denean

airez eta
hatsez
ahotsez
ezkutatzen ez diren
berbez

lur hau
zeinari esaten diogun herria

da

arnasten nauena
